National Morality

I have to give credit to my friend Jake for posting something on this first. The news is that Ukraine has banned the movie Bruno because it could “damage the morality” of its’ citizens. What a noble concept…..a governing force that actually protects it’s citizens from moral decay and lifestyles of anarchy. A free society is a society that functions under the constructs of governing laws that allow them to have the best life they can through free enterprise and choice of direction through moral absolute truths and just precepts that serve as guidelines for life.

A society of anarchy is a society that does not believe that there is such a thing as absolute truth. That believes everything in life is relative and problems can always be fixed through a compromise. Laws are made in a so called “progressive” way, because apparently we are getting more logical and wise and generations pass and new ones come up. I simply call it a moving away from the word of God and His absolutes.

Our nation is definitely in a state of anarchy. For example, when our “leaders” are caught in scandal after scandal, when they use the name of religion to get voted into their positions and don’t even know God in a relational way, and when they promote the death of innocence then we are surely in a state of chaos.

Would it be too much to ask if I were to ask for us to once have a government that looked out for the well being of our country’s moral stability more than their personal agendas and lust for power and greed.

It may be a far fetched concept for some but I believe our nation would start to see a change in crime, abuse, murder, lawlessness (which is what was prophesied in Revelation would come in the last days during the great falling away), etc., if we saw a cleaning of house when it comes to Hollywood alone. I believe if we saw leaders begin to step up and force Hollywood to clean up it’s act when it comes to movies such as Bruno, we would start to see a turn in a lot of areas.

I said my piece on this. I just pray that our nation would see that we are currently not living in freedom but truly living in lawlessness which is a SLAVE to sin. But remember we can choose “To be in the world, but NOT OF THE WORLD”.
