Date Night (acting like kids without the kids)

image380256562.jpgSarah and I finally got our 2nd date night since the girls were born. We literally just sat and looked at each other a couple times and didn’t say a word. We went and got some stuff for our house, had a nice dinner, and wanted to ironically act like kids since we weren’t with our kids, so we went and watched Monsters Vs. Aliens in 3D at the Imax. It has been a great night. Love her more everyday.

    You HAVE to see this!

I found this on and had to share it with you.  Jason is an incredible man of God who has this amazing compassion for the hurting in the world, and knows just how to lead them to the heart of the Father.  I have had the honor of getting to know him over the past year and he is the same off the stage as he is on the stage.  I hope that this grips you the same as it did me.

that’s intense, babe. I have always admired and wanted to walk like he does in that he is unashamedly himself and unashamedly does exactly what God is saying when he says it and doesn’t hold back no matter where he is. Even in that strict AG church we saw him in a while back he has such a grace to speak the heart of God in it’s season.

    Writing, writing, and more writing

I am finally back in the swing of my favorite thing………writing. For me it is very seasonal. During the whole time in the studio trying to get all the post production done with the live album we released back in January I didn’t write a single line. That was 3-4 months of not doing anything. It was very painful. But since January I’ve written about 6 to 7 songs that I am happy with.

We are already meeting together as a band and working on the new songs and ironing them out and finding exactly what we want them to sound like. I love the guys who are with me, they are Mike Bay, Josh Ortego, and Mike Stern. They are as passionate as I am about making worship music that reveals the heart of God and allows others to seek Him fervently through it. We hope to be starting in the studio this Summer sometime. It will be a studio album this time and I am very excited about that. It will really allow us to be creative and really nail down how we want the music to sound.

Please pray for us that we hear the voice of the Holy Spirit clearly and form these songs in such a way that many will be strengthened through them. I hope to throw a rough demo of some of them out for you guys to hear within the coming months.
