  • He resists the proud

tylervaughn 8:11 pm on February 16, 2009 Permalink | Reply

I was reminded today in my worship time that God resist the proud. I think most of the time I associated proud as being big headed and egotistical, but today I was reminded that pride can also show itself as a feeling that I need to make something happen or that I am to proud to ask for help.

No matter how many times I try not to, I always see my hands trying to make a way for what God has promised me and then I end up getting off track and off course from the path He has in front of me.

I just wanted to throw this out as a reminder….He is for us and not against us. He can open doors no man can close and close doors no man can open. Don’t be to proud to wait on Him to carry out His promise. It will all come in due season. Enjoy this season cause you won’t get it back. Ask the Father to restore the joy of your salvation so that you can be content in just knowing the Father a little more each day. Don’t rush the refiner while He makes you into what He invisions.

  • Peace in the Lord

Man, it is a hard place to get to but I believe I am getting to the point in my life where I am at peace with being content with God alone.  We all deal with the things that tug at our heart, and I won’t say I am past that, but I am losing the desires for material things, and the desires to please everyone, and the desire for acceptance.  Let me tell you, I am really starting to enjoy it.

I have really been asking God to fix my eyes on eternal things.  When I turned 25 this past year, I think I had a mid-mid-life crisis.  I really looked at the past 25 years and evaluated how much time was spent carrying out eternal things and how much time was wasted.  Unfortunately, I walk away very heavy hearted from that thought, because I have wasted so much time on worthless things.  I don’t want the remaining 50-60 years to be like the first 25.  As I looked back I thought about all the things that I was focused on, like: being accepted by piers, keeping up with the current trends, making sure everything I did in church was politically correct, etc.  Now I see how much it robbed from my effectiveness. (More …)

  • Places you can find me! Kinda like “Where’s Waldo” on the internet.

Here are a couple places you can find me and ways you can keep track of what is going on with the music.  We are already in the works of beginning our work on the next album.  Fun stuff.

I highly suggest going to ReverbNation and signing up for our mailing list.  It will be a great tool for us to inform you of new stuff going on.  You will have to click “Become a Fan” under the profile picture.  Here is the link….

Here is where you can find me on Facebook.  If you have a Facebook account, the best way for you to help us get the word out about the album is adding the iLike application for Facebook, clicking on this link and then adding me to your iLike favorite artist.  Then it will ask you if you would like to recommend this to 60 friends, and then you can pick 60 people to send a message to informing them on the music.  It’s an awesome tool for helping us to spread the word.  Here is the Facebook link to find me:

  • Big thanks

I want to give everyone a big thanks that showed me support this past weekend during the album release. It means a lot to get such overwhelming encouragement. I am thankful everyday for what God is doing through the music I have been writing and so thankful that I am already starting to see the fruit of my work through the testimonies and degree of worship that it is taking us all into. God is good and he deserves to have song after song written about Him, and I plan on doing this the rest of my life. So again, and I can’t say it enough, thanks to all of you for your support through prayer and encouragement!
