One crazy and amazing weekend!!!

We just had the most amazing weekend!  We got to enjoy it with a lot of our friends and had an great time with God.  Ok, ok, we finally recorded an album.  Yay!!!  I will talk more about it later…..I just wanted to post some thanks to very special people to me and share some pictures from the weekend with you.  

A BIG THANKS TO:

- All the people who showed up this past weekend and worshipped with us.  I almost cried today when I heard the crowd sing “Holy, Holy” on the playback.  This album is as much yours as it is mine.  You all sang beautifully.

-  All the people that have been lifting Sarah and I up in prayer to see this album come to pass                    

-  Jim Stern – who has been the most incredible encouragement to me and has been a visionary for this project to happen                                                                                                                        

-  Mike Bay, Becky Berndt, Matt Henry, Jason Eberts, & Phil Stern – for putting in long hours and never once complained.  Everyone was full of life and a source of strength of hope every time that they played their hearts out and helped create music that went far beyond what I imagined. I can’t thank you guys enough.                                                                                                    

-  Jess Wade & Meg Williams – For taking their time to use their incredible gift and uncanny eye for photography this weekend.  And they even helped me realize how hideous my faces can be during a worship set.  LOL.  They know what I mean.  Some of those photos will die with me.  

- Joel Funkhouser & the film crew – A big thanks to all of you for volunteering to do such a great task.  The videos will soon be posted on youtube and will help us to spread the hope through the music.  You guys are an amazing blessing.  Amazing.                                                                

- Mike Davis & Tara McCutheoun – I probably butchered Tara’s last name.  She will get me for that tomorrow at work.  I get nothing but strength from these two people.  Always encouraging and making me better.  Mike for sure has been someone who speaks truth and love and has made me a lot better leader since I moved here.  I want to thank you guys for taking your this weekend to make it great.  You guys rock.                                                                            

-  Mike Stern – Who ran the lights all weekend, but more importantly is one of my best friends and never once has spoken doubt into my life.  Is nothing but encouragement, faith, and support for my music.  From the moment Sarah and I moved here Mike and I clicked.  To Mike….this is only the beginning my friend!   Oh yeah.                                                                                    

- Sarah Vaughn (MY WIFE) - Man…..I could go on forever thanking my wife for all the ways that she deserves thanks for this…….without her I would be just a worship leader who yells a lot, she has brought out the very best in me and it shows even in my writing, and when I thought this would never happen, even though I know God called me to it, she never doubted it once.  I love you babe.  More than you know.                                                                                          

LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT THE LEAST

I want to give the biggest thanks to WILL STERN >>>> Will and I started out a year ago working together at Destiny and very quickly became very good friends.  Will has the incredible gift to make anyone think that they can accomplish anything.  He walks with remarkable integrity, discipline, and complete surrender to the plan of God for his life.  Just being around him has made me a better person, and being his friend has made me want to walk through life the same way he does.  He has been nothing but inspiration.  We started working together on this album almost an entire year ago and then after about 7 months of hard work I felt God told me to stop it all and start over.  I feared this would hurt our friendship and put a halt to everything but instead all Will cared about was following the heart of God for the project.  He has done nothing but help me dream of what this project could be and has put in countless hours with my fickleness to produce the sound that we came out with.  I wish I had an ounce of his creativity!  I find that most days I can’t even keep up.  If anyone deserves a great thanks for this album it is Will!  So thanks Will for all the hard work and creativity that you have put in this project to make it what it is.  I know that we are far from finished considering we are just beginning the mix down, but you deserve it my friend.  I know it will be great!  

And I thank God for it all but that is between me and Him and trust me I thank Him everyday for bringing His promises to come true by placing me in such an amazing place.
