Greatest Show On Earth – The Office

    My Michael Scott bobble head

    My Michael Scott bobble head

I just wanted to have some fun today and talk about my favorite show on the whole wide planet!  The Office! Yes, I was one of those nerdy boys growing up that had a ton of action figures.  I was the best Cobra Commander ever!  (That’s G.I. Joe talk for the ladies). That’s why I feel so at home with my bobble head.  Ah, to be young again

I have been a fanatic of “The Office” since the first episode was aired.  I don’t watch much tv, but this is one show Sarah and I don’t miss.  Michael Scott has to be the most ridiculous interpretation of a boss that has ever been created, but it really makes you look at your own leadership abilities and wonder if you are anything like him.  I have found a few:  I am not as funny as I like to think I am, my natural instinct is to joke rather than work (but I choose work I promise…. that’s for Jim and John), and I sometimes speak before I think.

Now I know if you have seen “The Office” at all you know it is probably ridiculous that I made it even remotely serious, but this just shows how deep of a thinker I really am. :)

Jim and Pam are finally together and the world is decent once again, that is in TV LAND.

Anyways, I just wanted to post something fun today in honor of SEASON 4 of THE OFFICE being released on September 2nd.  Woo Hoo.

Now you can comment on how big of a dork I am.

    Politics at its finest.

I was checking out one of my best friends blogs today and read something he wrote that really disgusted me. His name is Ian Kelly and he is one of the Directors at Bound4Life that is trying to over turn the law that says we murder babies.  He is a great guy, and is very close to our nations political happenings.  So I am just going to copy and paste what he had below to see what you think about the great people that are so heavily involved in this coming election.  Check out his blog after at http://www.portablemegaphone.blogspot.com

    Music Recommendation (John Mark McMillan)

If you haven’t heard of John Mark Mcmillan, you should get to know him if you are someone who is looking for something that is new, full of the Spirit, and very creative.  John Mark is the writer of “How He Loves”, which is an amazing song that speaks of the intimacy that God shows towards His children.  You can find that song on his album named “The Song Inside the Sound of Breaking Down“.

The man is someone who is being brave enough in the Christian community to be himself, and in the process he is really helping to pave a way for more songwriters and musicians in “Christian World” to be able to branch out and become who God has made them to be. It is very inspiring to see someone not be afraid to just be who God has called them to be, and be faithful to developing a sound that is not a definitive copy of someone else.

I heard a while back from Chuck Pierce that now scientist are able to take a sample of your DNA and run it through some test and processes, and play back for you the sound that your DNA makes.   How crazy is that?  All matter in the world vibrates, and vibrations create sound waves.  You have a sound in you that no one else has and it is found in your very DNA.  What an awesome God.

So back to John Mark…..he has a new cd out and it is called “The Medicine“.  I highly recommend this album.  I have been listening to the songs on his myspace and they are great.  They are not your typical worship songs for your typical worship service, but they are indeed worship songs.

By the way it is very indie, so if you have a perfectionist side to you and you think everyone should sound like the Top 40, then don’t even bother.

Just check it out.  I personally think his stuff is amazing.  But I am not the final authority by far.

It comes out September 9th and you should be able to find it on iTunes.

Babies Twins + 2 Girls = Me Very Happy

So if you haven’t heard yet….my wife Sarah and I are expecting twin girls.  If you are around me for 30 minutes you will hear about the twins at least twice before the conversation is over.  We are so excited.

    Pictures from the ultrasound

Sarah is 21 weeks along in the pregnancy and the doctor says there is two very healthy babies in there. Looks like they will be due sometime between my birthday on December 7th and the birthday of baby Jesus.  Needless to say, it will be one busy and expensive month in the future.

A joke started a while back when we found out we were having twins.  My good friend Jason heard about it and quoted a song I had recently wrote called “Beautiful Children”,  he said, “You make beautiful children, there’s no singular in that”.  I guess not.  All I know is that we are so blessed by this.  And as soon as I get more pictures of the little ladies I’ll put some more up.

      Hey Tyler!
Will was singing the same song the other day and said afterwards, “Well, we’ll see if he makes beautiful children now won’t we? HA”
You have a lot to live up to in those lyrics, Tyler :)

      Haha.

Congrats on your future little prayer warriors.
